I know this coming Sunday is Mother's day but this post is for all the women out there! Many women do not have any children but precious pets they love and care for. There are those women who do not have pets but care for elderly people, the poor, sick and needy. I therefore dedicate this post to all women....thank you for all your love, care, patience and encouragement! I salute all of you!
So gentle, yet so strong.
The many ways you show you care
Always make me feel I belong.
You give guidance when I ask;
It seems you can do most anything;
You're the master of every task.
You're my cushion when I fall.
You help in times of trouble;
You support me whenever I call.
You have my total respect.
If I had my choice of mothers,
You'd be the one I'd select!
I loved this...the kitties are all so cute and I loved the poem...Have a wonderful Mothers Day! Come say hi :D

It is soooo good to hear from you Elvira! It is actually Tomi in the "cotto" bowl (sorry, it is a bit confusing which one is which..?)...it is so hot in Florida, although we have air-conditioning but the "cotto" bowl is so cool and he loves it! Elvira, you should know because you live in Tuscany amongst all the terracotta tiles and bowls...right? You will have to teach me Italian...I went on the internet and look up "Carissima" and saw that it was 'dearest'...now I will have to look for "un abbraccio.." Smile..... May you have a wonderful week-end too on yourl lovely farm with your family and all your lovely pets and animals! Ciao Ixx

Ingrid, what a sweet post! I agree we women spend so much time "taking care" of others. Mothering them even if they are not our children. Thank heavens for Mothers everywhere! Your kitty kids are so sweet. And I spent some time looking at some of your other posts & they too are wonderful. The scallops looked grand! We had mussels last night YUM! And the photo of the beach... I couldn't believe how many shells were there!
