Kudu Ranch is a 5500 ha private game farm nestled in the mountains near a town called Lydenburg on your way to the Kruger National Park in the heart of the South African bushveld. This land is a place of unimagined vastness that promises adventure. There are 125 shareholders of this game farm and there are still properties available for those who would like to be a part of this wonderful African dream.
I have known Irma and Wilhelm van Zyl for quite a few years and have heard many stories of wonderful times spent with their family and friends, relaxing, laughing and having braai's (BBQ'ing) at their lovely Kudu Ranch home. Upon arrival at their home you may be greeted by the warthog family grazing around.
Nature served as the inspiration for the interiors of Irma and Wilhelm's Kudu Ranch home. The interiors have a relaxed style and the furniture is leather, wood and rattan with colorful African prints on the throw pillows that provide texture and interesting detail in the main living areas and bedrooms.
Natural designs of roughly textured African hand-made vases add warmth to the interior scene.
The unobtrusive thatched architecture of the homes merge with the atmospheric African surroundings to create a striking combination of line, texture and form.
The dinner area on the veranda with beautiful views over the African landscape.
There are over 30 species of game at Kudu Ranch and grazers such as rhino, buffalo, blue wildebeest, zebra, kudu, impala and sable can be seen.
In the evening one can relax at the campfire with a beautiful African sunset in the distance.
I hope you enjoyed these beautiful photographs of Kudu Ranch under the African sky!
