Lemon Picking In Our Garden

We had some freezing temperatures this morning in Florida and by this afternoon I just had to get out into the sun. With a basket in the one hand and my camera in the other I went out into our lovely garden and picked some lemons. What a privilege and joy of life it was to pick some lemons in my own garden! I am so grateful that I could do that and would love to share some pictures with you...

An orange tree can be seen in the background...

I just love lemons and I have discussed the health benefits of lemons and extra virgin olive oil in one of my earlier posts in this blog at http://thejoysoflifeingrid.blogspot.com/2009/12/natural-anti-aging-and-health-remedies.html

May you have a wonderful and blessed 2011!

  3. You can't beat freshly picked Citrus right off your own trees... alas, our new Lemon Tree croaked in last year's fierce Summer heat, as did our Raspberry Bush *but it produced fruit at least before it went to Raspberry Heaven*... but the Blood Orange, Valencia Orange and Pink Grapefruit are doing well and we got some fruit off two of them in the 1st year! *whoo hoo*
